Jeep makes the legendarily capable adventure vehicle into plug-in hybrid powerhouse with the introduction of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. From its sporty exterior design and dynamic performance to a long list of tech and comfort features, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is ready to help take on a wide variety of different driving needs. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is available in a host of trims, which includes the Sport, Willy,s Sahara, Rubicon, High Altitude, and Rubicon X.

Performance

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe keeps things simple in the powertrain realm by making a single engine available across all trims. That's right, the sole engine that comes with the Wrangler 4xe is a hybrid that manages 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. This engine works with an 8-speed automatic transmission and features four-wheel drive. Additional performance features can be had with certain trims, like the Rubicon and Rubicon X, which are off-road oriented versions of the Wrangler 4xe.

Technology

While certainly not the focus, technology abounds with the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The base level Sport S trim comes equipped with a seriously impressive array of tech features, which includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a 7-inch digital instrument display panel, and an 8-speaker audio system. Stepping to a higher trim can offer more, with the Rubicon X coming with an Alpine audio system, an integration system, and rear parking sensors.

Interior Features

As far as comfort and convenience goes, there's plenty to consider with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The base Sport S trim comes with cloth upholstery, power windows, power locks, and automatic climate control, The Sahara trim improves on the base set of features, adding remote start and heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Rubicon X trim ensures near-luxury offerings like leather upholstery.
